Dr. Cynthia Davis is the superintendent of the Mississippi River District of the Memphis Conference of the United Methodist Church. Dr. Davis served as a nurse for 24 years and later as a nursing instructor. For almost half of her nursing career, she also served as a bi-vocational pastor. She is a lifelong learner and in 2005, she received her Doctor of Ministry degree with her dissertation focusing on “The Black Church and Public Health.”
