Maryanne J. George, Singer, Songwriter, Worship Leader
Maryanne J. George is a multifaceted artist who sings, writes, and plays many different instruments. She is also a worship leader who is passionate about encountering the Lord.
Maryanne grew up in New York, a child of immigrants. Her earliest memories are filled with songs; almost every family get-together had a time of singing and playing instruments. She learned how to play violin at the age of four and taught herself piano and guitar. She eventually went on to serve at her home church in Hicksville, NY, where she started as a choir member and eventually became a worship director. Over the years, Maryanne has organically built a platform of loyal listeners who know her from her time with Maverick City Music and her debut EP, “Not Just Stories,” which was released in October 2021 and charted nationally. Her EP centered on the tenets of worship – surrender, devotion and sacrifice – and was a culmination of her spiritual journey with Jesus. Her prayer is that her life would be an altar and her songs, a sacrifice.
